Valerie Desroches is a first-generation Haitian American who was born in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Master Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her law degree at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

Valerie chose to become licensed in the State of Maryland and is excited to become acclimated with the State, and members of the legal profession. She currently is an Associate Attorney at The Law Office of Thomas E. Pyles where she handles Domestic matters, and has an interest in Criminal Defense and Personal Injury. 

 Valerie was awarded Order of the Barrister, and enjoys research and writing. She chose the law to help people and someday wants to create and implement aversion programs for at-risk youths. Mentoring teenagers and young adults is one of her favorite pastimes. 

Outside of work she is the mother to a beautiful daughter named Myjoi. Valerie enjoys cooking, taking roadtrips, hosting events and is an avid sports fanatic.
